Our Transport Service

All our consignments are securely stowed in wooden crates constructed from specially treated wood, designed specifically for transport. This not only facilitates loading and unloading at our terminals but primarily ensures enhanced safety throughout transit.

Truck departures from our London warehouse to our branches in Rome and Milan are scheduled every Wednesday. The trucks arrive at our Milan terminal after customs clearance on Friday afternoon. These trucks are then loaded with shipments destined for the UK and stored at our Milan warehouse over the weekend.

Early Monday morning, these loaded trucks proceed through customs and immediately depart for London, arriving on Wednesday to restart the cycle.

Each truck transports multiple shipments, typically ranging from 7 to 15, but can carry up to 20.

For smaller shipments headed to Southern Italy (including Rome) or Sardinia, we utilize a shuttle service. This involves transferring the shipments from our Milan depot to our Rome terminal using a second truck. This shuttle service departs Milan on Monday or Tuesday and reaches Rome by evening. It then returns to Milan, carrying shipments collected from Southern Italy or Sardinia.

If the lorry is tasked with a large move to Central or Southern Italy, it will continue directly to its destination city after a weekend stop in Milan. Meanwhile, a different lorry will depart for London within the same week.
For smaller shipments to Southern Italy (including Rome) or Sardinia, the relevant crates are transported by a second lorry from our Milan depot to our Rome terminal. This is part of what we call the shuttle service. The shuttle departs Milan on Monday or Tuesday and arrives in Rome by evening. The same lorry then returns from Rome to Milan, carrying shipments collected from Southern Italy or Sardinia.

Deliveries to Rome and Milan are immediate upon arrival at our terminals.

For other locations in Italy, deliveries are completed within 7 days from the time goods arrive at our Rome and Milan terminals.

Deliveries to Sardinia and Sicily may take up to two weeks from the arrival of the goods at our terminals in Rome and Milan.
